The diversity of regions and populations in small towns and villages is a reality that is relatively little known. Moving beyond common misconceptions, our study will shed light on the variety of lifestyles in these areas, whether they are residential, industrial, agricultural, or tourism-oriented.
The Villages study (Lives, Pathways, Connections, and Roots) is also being replicated in Portugal, Denmark, and Sweden. In total, it will collect 8,500 questionnaires, including 2,500 in France, spread across 10 regions.
